custom solutions
for all gamers
Evil Controllers Founder & CEO Adam Coe has been passionate about gaming since childhood. In the mid-2000s he started to tinker with his personal controller to try and improve his gameplay. In March 2007, he successfully added two buttons to the backside of his controller and quickly realized he was on to something big.
Evil worked with the ablegamers charity to create the adroit, the first-ever controller made for people with severe muscular and physical disabilities
He used the last $500 of his student loan money to buy 20 stock controllers on eBay and customized them. Almost as soon as he listed them online, they completely sold out. He immediately got to work on a business plan and Evil Controllers was born.
As he was building his first custom controller for a gamer with disabilities, he recognized the enormous opportunity and established a partnership with The AbleGamers Charity. Evil worked with AbleGamers to create the Adroit, the first-ever controller made for people with severe muscular and physical disabilities and a predecessor to the Xbox Adaptive Controller. All of this research and development made Evil’s products for able-bodied gamers even better.
Over the years, Evil has continued to solidify its reputation as an innovative company willing to take on difficult challenges and find creative solutions. From button relocation to custom thumbsticks to d-pads and backplates, the team has done it all and they’re motivated everyday to keep driving the entire industry forward and ensuring everyone can be a part of the gaming community.
