Nintendo has released an update to their Mario Maker 2 game, letting players get in on the action as legendary RPG hero Link.
The update brings Link as well as his iconic sword to the action, with players able to pull off butt stomps, use bombs, and even shoot enemies with your bow and arrow. The update also brings new enemies, P-blocks, frozen coins, and the dash block. A fully fleshed out option to use the Super Mario World game style is also included, letting your levels look like they belong on the Switch or Wii U versions of the platforming game.
One feature that didn’t get a lot of love in the press but will likely be popular is the addition of a speedrunning mode, which will let players get in on the crazy Kaizo style levels that are created, letting players see multiple instances of their characters that failed the level. For those unaware, Kaizo levels are developed to create a bunch of ways for players to die, and are extremely difficult to complete.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’s Season 1 pass has gone live on PS4, Xbox One, and PC consoles, letting players get in on expanded game modes, special ops missions, and more.
The season launched alongside an update that added four new maps, which are open to all players. Ground War gets a new map called Port, while Gunfight mode gets Atrium and Cargo maps. An old map from the OG Modern Warfare is also being introduced, with Crash. Two other maps are going to be made live during the season, with Shipment and Vacant coming online at some point.
Those who buy into the season pass will get a new Reinforce mode that sees players getting a single life. Your goal is to survive and capture one of three flags. Doing so will grant respawns to players on your team. Two other game modes are coming, but they’re not available as of the launch of the pass.
The five new special ops missions include Operation Strongbox, Operation Just Reward, Pitch Black, Bomb Squad, and Grounded. The

Minecraft has been around for nearly nine years, but a hotly sought after feature is finally on the way, as it was revealed that a character creator is finally coming to the game.
The feature is first coming to the Bedrock beta, which is available on Windows, Xbox One, and Android platforms. The creator will include more than 100 basic features for players to tweak their characters, including skin, hair, facial hair, body size, eyes, mouths, and more.
Players in the beta will get the first crack at the feature while developer Mojang will work out any kinks that pop up by interpreting data. If all goes as expected, players will get access to the creator within the full game at some point down the road. After the initial beta, it’s thought that the feature will go live on iOS and Nintendo Switch platforms.
The launch was announced in a blog post by Thomas Wiborgh, who serves as Head of Marketing at Mojang. In the post he wrote: "Using

Everybody, let out a collective, “Yessss!”, as Gears 5 developers have confirmed that the upcoming Xbox One/PC shooter will not have any season pass or Gear Packs to try and separate you from your hard-earned money.
The decision is very consumer-friendly, as users are growing increasingly frustrated by not having complete games, despite paying full price for them. The game will instead focus on offering up earnable unlockables, with various grinds and milestones. This is a big shift from Gears of War 4, which had a hefty $50 season pass and charged upwards of $5 for Gear Packs.
The Coalition issued a statement on the matter, which read in part: “We’ve committed to delivering more earnable content than ever before through an extensive new system called Tour of Duty.”
Tour of Duty will have various seasons, ala Fortnite, and will spell out what is required of players to earn each extra piece of content.
Gears 5 follows up on the story from Gears

State of Decay 2 has just received a brand new DLC expansion. This new expansion adds a brand new game mode called Daybreak.
Daybreak is essentially a co-op zombie defense game mode. In Daybreak, up to four players must work together as they play elite soldiers equipped with high tier weapons.
Players must defend against waves of zombies as they wait for a technician to repair a satellite relay. That's not so important, but it provides a platform for the wave based chaos to be born upon.
There are a total of seven waves in each match of Daybreak. As you progress through each wave, the zombies become tougher and more numerous.
On top of the new Daybreak mode, a new zombie has been added. It's called the blood plague juggernaut. As the name suggests, this thing is huge. If you get hit by this thing, you'll be infected with the blood plague. More hits will make your infection meter rise quickly.
The new DLC also adds six new melee weapons, nine new ranged

The new Rainbow Six Siege Operation Blood Orchid expansion is finally out for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
After a long wait, the latest expansion, which adds three new operators, a new map, and a large number of gameplay fixes and balancing changes, has gone live.
Ubisoft released a new trailer for the operation. During the trailer, the new map is showcased, alongside the three new operators.
As mentioned previously, the new map for Operation Blood Orchid is Theme Park. It's a spooky-themed nighttime map that's based on an abandoned theme park. The trailer also shows off Ying and Lesion, the two new operators from Hong Kong. The trailer ends by giving a sneak peek at the third operator, Ela.
Ela is a Polish operator that was originally planned for a now-axed Polish themed operation.
While the trailer does show the three new operators in action, it doesn't do much to showcase their new abilities. We've provided a quick overview of the new operators

Operation Health has finally ended and Siege players are now going to get access to new content and changes as part of the Blood Orchid 3.0 patch.
The entire expansion will be made available for free to all players - this means that everybody can play the new maps and new operators included in the operation. However, despite the content being released for free, those with the Year 2 season pass will get the operators for free, while all other players will need to spend renown on the operators to unlock them.
Alternatively, players can purchase new operators with real money via the Rainbow Six Credits system.
One of the biggest new additions to Rainbow Six Siege in the new Blood Orchid operation is the Theme Park map. This new map features a creepy environment based in an abandoned theme park.
This time around, we are also seeing three new operators being brought into Rainbow Six Siege. The first operator is Ying, a Chinese attacker that can fire a cluster of

In a sudden, never-before-seen move, Ubisoft has planned to remove a number of maps from the competitive map pool.
Once the maps are removed, they'll no longer appear in the ranked game mode. They will, however, remain in casual mode and terrorist hunt mode.
Going forward, only nine maps will remain in the ranked mode for Rainbow Six Siege. The nine remaining maps are Bank, Clubhouse, Oregon, Kafe, Consulate, Chalet, Border, Coastline, and Skyscraper. These are the same maps that will be used in competitive leagues.
"Moving forward, we will introduce the new Ranked and ESL Pro League playlists at the same time we perform the rank reset--and all of that will occur at the start of the new season," Ubisoft explained. "The Ranked playlist, much like the ESL playlist, will be rotated each Season, offering a different selection of available maps."
Interestingly, not all maps will remain in the game. Some maps will be removed from the game entirely to be reworked. Casual

A brand new update has gone live for Battlefield 1 and it contains a huge number of changes and tweaks to the game.
To begin with, the new patch adds a brand new map to Battlefield 1. The new map is called Lupkow Pass - it's available to anybody that has either the season pass or the Name of the Tsar DLC.
The new Lupkow Pass map is set in Russia, deep in the Carpathian mountains. A lot of the new map is focused on verticality and fights between different levels of the mountains.
While the new map is limited to those that have the DLC, there are a number of features and changes in the new update that is available to everybody.
One of the biggest changes includes a bug fix that stops the weapon loadout UI from disappearing. The horse turn speed has been increased by 25% too, which will make those that use the horse more mobile.
DICE has also made it so jumping over obstacles with horses has been improved. The jumping mechanic is now far more reliable, so
